Check Valves

Hey Bill,

I have been replacing a lot of check valves on carburated fuel systems lately and they seem to be getting expensive on some of the older brands. (96 Yamaha Ware Raider = $22) Is there a run of the mill check valve I can buy elsewhere that may suffice and hold up to the gasoline vapors?

Thanks in advance

Re: Check Valves

Take them to Grangers. They cost about $3 there.

Re: Check Valves

Long before ECWI, we made water injection using $3.00 check valves. They even came with an assortment of different sized inserts to control liquid flow. They are made to control fluids in such places as milling machines and cutting machinery to keep the parts cool and the cutters lubricated.

You can use them in serveral ways to get the effects that you want. All it is a cheap plastic valve with a light or heavier spring inside to contorl the psi it needs to move the spring on allow flow into or out of it..
