sxr waterbox

ive noticed on a few race sxr800's they cut the waterbox and modifiy the internals. Can some one explain what there doing and maybe a pic. I dont want to run the TDR box. i put one on my old zxi1100 and it seemed slower. thanks..

thats correct. if you open the SXR waterbox up to much you will only make more noise and go slower (less RPM)...... at 0-60mph its hard to beat the stock box with anything under 850cc. I can't comment on freestyle type riding. Do a search...lots of info on Sxr waterboxes in this site.
