superjet seize

Would not having the gas cap screwed on tight cause the engine to to run lean and sieze? The reason I ask is because I just ruined a 5 min old top end. The only other thing I did other than normal was switch from total loss to stock box with enhancer. This is a 62t with dual 44s, B pipe, and 190 psi head. Only the front piston went bad th rear looked perfect. Piston to wall was .005 and squish was 1.5. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: superjet seize

A loose gas cap would not cause that , unless the loose gascap was letting in water and you hydrolocked. Gas tank is not presurized.
