The .004.005 clearnce is fine foe a SS. The rpms are not as big a factor as giving the setup a gentle breakin (2 full tanks is best).

I was thinking to stay in the .004/.005 range but attending that a superstocker revs much higher tha a OEM engine I wa asking myself if it would be better to open the clearance a little more.
