I'm not sure who told you that aftermarket carbs get better fuel range ... but they lied ...alot. The modified stock carbs will definately give the best fuel range... and good overll performance. The bigger (Novi) carbs do offer much better acceleration and peak rpms ... but they use ALOT more fuel than the modified stocker carbs.
