| Re: harry im sending u my motor Stosh,
Doing the boring and porting will still allow you to run on 91 octane. For better bottom end, I'd recommend a Jetworx valve ($59) to put in the stinger water-line... they work great.
If you do occasional racing, I would recommend to just get a second head that we can cut to a higher race-gas compression ratio to further increase your bottom end. Another wise addition would be to replace the old Skat 16 with a re-pitched Solas "I" prop ($229). The improved hub design of the Solas allows it to process more water per revolution ... and it offers better acceleration as well as better top speeds ... money well spent.
I have mixed feelings about the Coffman waterbox. The stock box works great, is considerably quieter, and would have a little better low range performance.... It might be worth finding one.
