Bought used ski, how can I tell if group K parts?

I bought my 96 seadoo xp 800 a few months ago. Recently I leaned it out (my mistake) and blew a piston. Im trying to figure out what route to go as far as new engine or rebuild. The ski supposedly has the sleeper kit (from the guys ad- Group K sleeper kit-includes recreational finish cylinder porting, head modification, exhaust plumbing kit, primer kit, carb throat boring and jetting). It also supposedly has a minkuni high volume fuel pump.. It has more parts but those are easily noticed like msd cdi water inj. It does in fact have a primer kit but am unsure about exhaust plumbing.

Basically, im trying to determine if besides the obvious parts, is there any way to determine if the head, cylinders, and carbs had work done to them?

Re: Bought used ski, how can I tell if group K parts?

Unfortunately, we do not externally mark any of our modified parts, so there is no way to confirm it has Sleeper modifications without taking it appart and measuring the parts (sometimes I can tell from a well focused digital photo). If the rave valve on the waterbox is absent, that's a good sign.

Respectfully, Harry Klemm

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the water valve is deleted from the waterbox and the ski only has the msd cdi water injection. I will take it apart shortly and try to get some good photos. What specifically should I take photos of? Kyle
