Why does searching for the word "ride" make search act stupid?

I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed that searching for the word "ride" as in "ride plate" and I get blank.

OK, so I'm not the only one. At first, I thought the search feature was having a complete failure. But then I narrowed it down to the word "ride". It's very possible there are other words that cause this as well.
