| what's my '96 XP worth? I have a yellow '96 XP (bought it in mid '07), it now has a bad crank/top end/head (needs a motor pretty much), and needs a prop, I did put a new wear ring in it the year before (it cavatated HARD after my GF drove it and sucked up a bunch of rocks last summer ). it's sitting on a single Spartan PWC trailer that has lifetime MN registration. My cousin rode it and put a little bump in the hull when he hit a dead head right by the intake grate. just to be sure, I fixed it w/ some fiberglass. it's been fine since then. The XP registration is up this year, clean/clear titles on both. Obviously the VTS doesn't work, the gas gauge didn't either, until I fixed the little magnet in the float. I replaced all the gas lines, new battery, new prop shaft seal, trailer has new tires, re-packed the wheel bearings last summer, I added a new full size spare tire/matching rim to the trailer underneath the tounge too.
what's it worth the way it sits....? i'm still up in the air between selling it the way it is, or just keeping it and throwing a motor in it. if i keep it....i don't know if i will have time to ride it this year at my 'rents vacation home.

| Re: what's my '96 XP worth? with out the trailer i would say 5-600 doll hairs---- the trailer is worth about 250-300-- you could probly sell the package at about 800 bux and everyone would be happy |

| Re: what's my '96 XP worth? Yup I paid $800 last year for a XP setup about like that, although it had a good top end, a brand new skat prop, cover, stand, and a box of extra parts.
If you do rebuild talk to Rob Shatzle at RSI Racing...best Seadoo guy in the area.

| Re: what's my '96 XP worth? Thats the way to do it...SBT motor w/ 1yr warranty is about $1000 when your all done. If your fuel lines are still grey they need to be replaced, carbs will need rebuilding (likely the reason your motor died) and might as well do the pump while your at it...new wear ring, reman prop, new oil in the pump. Then it will be ready to ride for the next 5 years.

I want to get rid of it, since I don't really have the time this summer to deal with it. I drove to my 'rents vacation home yesterday and picked it up, towed it to their house, and left it on the side of their driveway. it's easier for someone to get to the north shore vs. 90 miles away in WI.
