Hello, soon to be getting Jet Ski (I think).

It seems someone my father knows decided that after his children broke their 1998 Kawasaki 900 STX again recently, he didn't want it anymore. It got dumped off at work (family business) and I immediately hitched it to my truck and took it home to my house and stuck it in the garage to get it away from co-workers that took an unhealthy interest in it owning it themselves. According to a waterlogged pamphlet that doubles as a warranty card, it had a rebuilt SBT premium engine installed in mid 06. And it came with a very nice aluminum trailer. So far other than a ton of dirt and crud on it and more cosmetic damage to the gelcoat than I wouldve believed possible, the list of damaged equipment is a stone dead battery, the rubber insert for the right side trim missing, the cast aluminum steering nozzle was hit so hard it busted the casting out where the ball for the cable mounted on it and the piece is gone so its not fixable and i need the expensive ball and socket assembly to boot. The speedometer pickup wheel is smashed and some of the rubber mats are starting to peel up. Haven't got a battery and tried to start it yet so I don't know the condition of the carburetors, but I assume the compression which I will check later will be good since the motor is fairly new. Ordered all the missing parts and the owners manual and factory service manual, and the total bill minus battery assuming i can fix the speedometer with just a wheel and cross shaft is $250. i havent even powered it up yet. I am capable of removing and cleaning the carbs if necessary. Assuming I get everything fixed what would something like this normally cost, I intend to own it but am trying to determine what to offer my father taking into account that im the one fixing it and he got it for free.

Also the previous owner has a registration card but cant seem to find a title, does WI use titles for that year PWC or just the registration card?
