2010 Twin Citys Event Site

Hey i'm looking for a lake or river to bring a Great Lakes Watercross PWC event to the Twin City's area for this year. Anybody know of a place that might work? Would like to hold Freestyle, Off Shore Endurance and/or Closed Course races. Looking for ideas, Scott.

Scott, Id post this in the tc jet pilots page. They hold the sortie freestyle thing and probable have a good amount of spots we could go to.

Scott...Trevor gave you info on the Mound Spirit of the Lakes Festival and the organizer...they are more then interested. I dont know if it can all work logistically though.

Surfside beach in Mound is a perfect spot for a race, and we can hook up boats for freestyle too. Liquid Miltia is kinda planning on being up here around that festival too.

I did call them but no return call, that was weeks ago. I'll try again on Monday. Give Trevor a heads up and maybe the one of us can talk with the festival organizer a.s.a.p. Thanks.

Re: 2010 Twin Citys Event Site

We will do everything in our power to make this happen Scott.
Here is the link to the festival...

http://www.spiritofthelakes.com/

The waterski people they had for years disbanded and they need something else. The problem I see is the park is small and they have a art festival, and sponsor tents up. On top of all the people around space, and parking would be a premium. BUT...any other time that park and the water in front of it would make a PERFECT venue.

Who knows though...if they need an event, this would be one hell of an event!!

Re: 2010 Twin Citys Event Site

Thanks you guys, I just got done talking to John, with the Spirt of the Lakes Festival. He will present the info to the group this Wed at the meeting. Might have a C/C Race and Freestyle coming to the Twin City's area.
