Shark Threat???

I'm heading to Boca Grande for vacation soon but I was told I shouldn't bring my ski because there are a lot of sharks?!? Is that a real problem around there?

Re: Shark Threat???

I was there on Memorial day and saw my fair share. I'm heading down again for labor day and Im leaving the ski and tube at home. Its a big tarpon spot. Tarpon = sharks. Bull, Tiger, and Hamerhead are the most plentiful.

Hammerhead sharks are popular in Boca Grande Pass. A Port Charlotte, Florida man named Bucky Dennis caught a new world record 1,280 pound hammerhead shark on May 23, 2006
Then he followed up a few months ago..
