heading down to Tampa/ Sarasota. Where to ride?

How's it going down south everyone ? Well July 2 until july 12 I'll be dwn visiting family. My family is flying down but I'd really like to bring my ski down and ride the gulf. I always have so I wouldn't want to miss out on the oppurtunity. I'd be in suncity near tMpa for a couple days and down on siesta key for a couple days. I was wondering where are some ski friendly beaches near the areas and where's some good spots to launch. Is there any surf to ride down there. Last time I just remeber some rollers near shore but I'm not sure, I could only imagine how nice it would be to ride a standup in that warm water. I'll be trailering my 2001 superjet down so any standup riders or skiers that would like to ride while I'm dwn there lmk, I'm alwYs happy to ride with someone that can show me around!! Any pics you guys have of riding these areas?

Re: heading down to Tampa/ Sarasota. Where to ride?

There are quite a few of us with X2s, stand ups, and Blasters that go out to Dunedin Causeway on the weekends. Last couple of Saturdays there were 10+ of us out there. Here is a link to the causeway... http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&...49267&t=h&z=15

We launch from the causeway near the draw bridge. I'ts a beach launch fyi.

I won't be there for the 4th, but I will for the 11th and 12th. I'm sure others will be out though. Let us know if you're going to make it out so we can look for you.

there has to be some ramps near Siesta Key.. not sure of what you will find for riders.

Fort Desoto is a pretty good option too...

The surf will suck at all of the above unless we get a storm coming through.
