Egmont Key

When you guys visit Egmont, where do you anchor to check the island out? Right in front of the light house? Is it ok to leave your ski unattended for a short period of time?

Re: Egmont Key

I have either side of it with no problems....depending on wind direction, choose the calmer side...there is some cool stuff to explore there.....

Re: Egmont Key

We did that on Monday and we did park near the lighthouse on the east side. It is usually calmer on the inside, we just usually turn the skis off and take the keys with us as we explore the island. We have done it quite a few times without any incidents. If you walk towards the lighthouse you will see a dirt path towards the ranger house and there are flyers on the lighthouse side. That is a good place to start and then you can do the entire loop and end up right at the beach again.
