Anna Maria???

Hi all! We are new to there area and headed out to Anna Maria Beach this Sunday. Does anyone know if you can launch on the beach there? Any other details would be great too. We have never been there and want to be able to relax on the beach in between drivers. Thanks!

There is nowhere on ami to launch on the beach side. but there is a ramp behind the police dep. next to the tennis courts and from there is a 15 - 20 min ride to the beach side (no wake zone takes for ever) i will be launching there this sunday to go to egmont for a sandbar party that we have there every week.

ok thanks!.. can you pull the skis up on the beach or do you have to anchor them?

anchor!... the fwlc are @$&%# around here. I had my ski anchored off of egmont oneday to walk around. a few hours later the tide went down and they said my ski was beached. I got a $250 fine. I never though the tide would drop that fast that far in a few hours

oh god! anything to give a ticket out! Thanks for all the info.. Sorry I'm a pain but we just moved here and are not familiar with a lot yet.. another question.. Is Anna Maria beach the same as Anna Maria Island..we have friends that said "we wanna go to Anna Maira on Casadeli Island" but they have never been there either and they are under the impression you could beach the ski. We have been going to courtney cambell only for this reason, but it is not the cleanest and nicest beach! lol So HELP!!! lol

I would say its not the same i have not heard of Anna Maira on Casadeli Island" I am talking about Anna Maria Island in manatee county, bradenton beach area.

Yeah I tried to google and I can't find any Anna Maria on Casadeli Island... hmmm I'll have to do some research! Thank so much for your tips!!!

If you are looking for a place to ride in manatee county? Palmasola is good if you like to just have fun, Cookout, Tubes, Ski, Wakeboard, Test your ski. Your kids can run free and bring your dog also. If you like to go on a ride in clean clear water or go for a beach ride with good wave longboat key is nice you have a full ramp vending machine restrooms and a little beach spot to park your ski. My pace to go is passage key sandbar with the friend and a few boats.We cookout on the water, one of the boats are always playing music and enough drinks for everyone. afterward we always walk on egmont for a hour or so. i have been there 50 time and see something new everytime. Hope this helps.....

Basically end of Anna Maria,, going south..just before the bridge to Longboat Key
Ramp, beach, toilet, BBQ spots all there...and the No wake zone before the Gulf is only 300 ft ...doable
