| 2008 Watercross Nationals in Nashville, TN this weekend Melbourne, FL August 29, 2008 — The best personal watercraft racers and freestyle riders in North America will converge in Nashville, TN this weekend to compete for National Championships at the 2008 Hydro-Turf APBA Watercross Nationals presented by BRP / Sea-Doo®. The Watercross Nationals will be the last event of the 2008 season that Sea-Doo mounted watercraft racers can earn funds through the Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty contingency program. Racers will also have their final chance to earn a spot in the exclusive Sea-Doo X-Team “The Good Life Just Got Better” Invitational competition taking place at the 2008 IJSBA World Finals. The 2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross Nationals is a three-day national racing event taking place on August 29 – August 31 at Nashville Shores Park, just minutes from downtown Nashville. Watercraft enthusiasts can watch some of the best watercraft racing action to take place all year long. The event is also the final points round for the 2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross National Tour and the final points round for the APBA National Highpoints Championship that determines rider’s national ranking and numbers. The event will be filmed for a two half-hour specials that will air on the Maximum Adventure Network and is scheduled to air in December 2008. The event will award more than $40,000 in cash, prizes and trophies. With double points on the line in Nashville, the National Championship and the prestigious #1 plate all come down to the final event of the season. The event is also the 11th and final points round for the HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross National Tour. The APBA Hydro-Turf National Tour champions will be crowned in the 10 National Tour classes. Sea-Doo watercraft mounted racers competing in specified classes will also be attempting to join leading Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty money winner Dustin Charrier in the 2008 Sea-Doo X-Team “The Good Life Just Got Better” Invitational competition taking place at the 2008 IJSBA World Finals where the winner will be invited to take part in a very unique adventure aboard a NEW 2009 Sea-Doo watercraft with numerous media persons. Nashville Shores Park is located on the 14,200-acre J. Percy Priest Lake that features 213 miles of scenic natural shoreline to explore. This is the same site that hosted the Nationals since 2001. The combination of a first class facility, together with first class racing events, will make this a very exciting and memorable event. Payouts are available for top finishers in the various APBA sanctioned races across North America and for the IJSBA World Finals where the sports single biggest payout of $10,000 is available to the winner of Pro Runabout.
