santee goers

Any Lake Marion riders ... I'm in on the north end of Wyboo near J&J marina. I should have a new ski by the spring... until then, 19 ft manta ray ski boat.

Re: santee goers

Hi hammerSC,

I live down by the mouth of Wyboo, in the area of the Cypress Point Condos.

Have 2 skis, a 2004 12F kawi and a 2006 Seadoo GTX.

I & my wife are retired downhere, when it gets a little warmer we ride a couple times a week or so, mostly just cruising. There are quite a few riders on Wyboo on weekends.

I was just out on our boat and the water temp is around 57. How is it riding already?

Re: santee goers

The water is chilly for sure. But it's been 10 years since I had a jet ski so a little cold water isn't going to stop me from logging some hours. I used to camp at the scout campgrounds close to your spot when I was young so I know your area. That lakeview marina place actually has some really good food. We take the boat to randolphs often so I'll keep an eye out for yall when the weather heats up a bit.

We were out with the Goat Island Boat Club over the weewkend. We rafted several boats together and had an oyster roast. We anchored in channel going into the Harvin landing. I was surprised at the number of jet skis out. Seemed like I saw at least six or more.

Re: santee goers

Cool deal. Give me a heads up next time and I'll make a cameo. Warmer temps, warmer h20 = much more ride hours. I'll be around a lot the next few weekends (4/13, 4/20, etc). Look out for a blue yamaha fxhocr.

Re: santee goers

We have a place on Carroll's Slough (on Wyboo where the Santee Summer Ministry is located). We have an '06 FX Cruiser HO, an '06 GP1300 and an '04 SeaDoo standup. Our skis are still in the garage waiting for warmer weather. Hope to be out soon.
