Myrtle Beach - Need Info PLEASE

Hi All -

Heading to Myrtle Beach this weekend...would like to bring the Ski .

1. Need to find out if anyone knows where best I can launch for Beach access ?

Preferably close to where I'm staying which is at Dunes Village - 52nd Ave. Looking to ride near the resort so I can switch off with some folks.

Anyone know a boat ramp close to this area ?

2. Any other cool areas to ride in Myrtle ?

Thanks!

Re: Myrtle Beach - Need Info PLEASE

If you are staying up by Dunes Village, there ain't no ocean access near there. Your closest ocean access there is probably going to be Murrells Inlet. About 15-20 miles South of there. Nice inlet to ride through, and the ramp is about a 5min ride to the ocean. There are also unlimited miles of Intracoastal waterway, river, and creeks. I'm not sure if there are any ramps around where you are staying, but there are 3 ramps in Socastee, which is just on the south end of Myrtle. Or the Wacca-Wachee ramp in Murrells inlet. The riding here is awesome, this past weekend I spent Saturday on the ocean, and Sunday on the river. It was 80 and sunny. The water still has a little chill to it, but not too bad. I'll probably ride all weekend again if the sun is shining.

Thanks for the info....I think I will drop in a Murrell's Inlet....that's the closest place I could find with Ocean access. I've yet to ride in the ocean....heard it is a blast.

If you run down to Murrells Inlet, there are 2 ramps about 2 miles from each other. One is on the inlet, it will get you to the ocean. The other one puts you on the Waccamaw river. From there you got miles and miles of river and creek riding. There are also a couple of hangouts that will be full of bikinis. I'm planning on playing out there myself.

Nice ! Question for you . Got my annual golf trip in Myrtle this weekend....got some boys that want to rent some ski's (better than a dude riding on the back of mine...not cool). Planning to put in at Murrells Inlet....any idea if there is a place to rent at Murrells ? ...or close by that will allow you to haul them there.

Right in the inlet, right next to the boat ramp. Captain ****s Marina. They rent them. On the river side. There is a place in Socastee, right under the bridge that has them . It's a little early in the season though. I'm not sure if they have the rentals up and running yet. I don't know the name of the place on the river. But Capt. ****s has a website. They can hook you up. http: //www.capt****s.com/

I also need info.
I just arrived in Cherry Grove with 2 skis. My plan is to launch in the marsh and ride in Hog's Inlet.
I am also looking for a PWC store to buy some SALT AWAY.
Any thoughts?
