I stop there all the time on the way south. Pretty much a I95 layover, not much there. Hope it's not a career move. as for PWC, you might want to get a motorcycle, or ATV! Lot's of hunting with the good ol boys.

You are 2 hours north of the Santee Cooper lakes of Marion & Moultrie. About 45 miles and thousands of acres of freshwater. You can even navigate to Charleston by water about 60+ miles.

Also you are about 1.5 hours from Wilmington or Mrytle Beach for salt water.

Re: checking out lumberton, NC

Alright, I am going to come on out and say it. Lumberton as a city flat out SUCKS. I was born there, and lived there as a child. I used to visit my mom there every other weekend until I was older.

It's full of rap video ***gots, and Lumbee Indians, who as a whole, ****ing hate white people. They go on frequent protests against the "Whities." The only way I would actually live in Lumberton, was if it was in the boonies. I love the country.

As for places to ride there.... well, there is white lake that is near, but it's overrun by the people I mentioned in the first portion of this response. There is always the Lumber river, but it's low at the moment, and is pretty dirty overall.

You could always ride to the coast and ride the ocean. We have a few people around here that ride stand ups, and Little River (Where I am) is located about 1-1.25hrs from Lumberton.
