Re: Charleston ??

The water was nice this weekend, so was the weather. So good, I ended up sunburned. It was good meeting you out on the water, those SHO's look great. They weren't as big as I thought. Hope to run into you some more this summer. Once we get the other fellas out on the water, we'll have to do a big group ride.

Re: Charleston ??

Not from Charleston, but if yall do a big group ride this summer let me know.
If you guy's are not doing anything on April 26th yall should come up to Lake Marion to ride. Should be a good bit of ski's on the water on that day with it being Striped Bass Festival weekend.

Hey Shooter I think AJ and Hannah (from Green Hulk) are coming up this way that weekend.

Re: Charleston ??

I know alot have made trips from our lake (Marion) down to Charleston.
I know in May our group (4of us) are going to start from the house ride through the canal through Moultrie to the Pinopolis Lock. After the lock there is place on the cooper river call Gilligan's. Just pull up and dock the boat and go eat some good sea food.

Re: Charleston ??

Well, AJ and Hannah's skis are down for the moment. I just built his gp800r and waiting on the carbs to get back. His 1200 carbs should be back already and hopefully we get that one done and ready to go. I know he's anxious, but we fix one thing and ended up doing a complete rebuild, pump seal, etc. By the time we're done he's going to have two brand new skis.
Problem with us riding up past the locks is fuel consumption. Unfortunately over by Gilligans they only have 89 octane and our skis need 93. If I didn't mind walking a mile to and from gilligans to the gas station with fuel, I could strap some empty tanks on the back of the gpr, hahaha.
Gilligans has okay seafood, but before them, I can't remember the name right now, they had great seafood. We use to stop there and get the all you can eat catfish for $15. Got to watch out for DNR in that area as well. We have actually seen them out there with radar guns shooting people to see how fast they were going through the no wake zones. Another thing is I prefer the river way more than the lake.
I'll be talking to AJ tomorrow, I'll see what he says about that ride and go from there.

Re: Charleston ??

Shooter why don't you work on a group ride or tour down your way.
I'm good for mid-end May or mid-end June.
Heard you were in one down that way couple years ago. Could spread the word here and on GH.
