anyone still riding in the lake moultrie/tailrace canal area

Went out yesterday and the water isn't bad, was a little chilly because I dock started, once I wiped out and got over that initial shock the water was great. The best part was drenching my buddy who was trying to keep warm on his couch with a few flybys! I will probably wear my wetsuit today! Just wondering if anyone does any cool weather riding around here?

Yep, we put in on the salt water side on bushy and head up to the Tail Race, come back to Bushy on the fresh water side. We were going to go out tomorrow, but seems like the weather isn't going to hold up. Probably do it next weekend.

Sounds like a nice little cruise how long does it take to get back to bushy park?

Re: anyone still riding in the lake moultrie/tailrace canal area

Depends on how fast your ski is,
We ride around and back to bushy in less than 30 minutes if we go wide open throttle, but our skis go 77 mph. We do a few stops on the way, we go down some canals and site see some.
We went out yesterday and spent 2 hours out there riding around. During the summer time theres an area on the salt water side (Its more like brackish) that boats hook up to each other and party.
You just have to find the cut off area to get over to the fresh water side, its easy after you do it once or twice. But if you don't know where your going you can end up way up the river on the salt water side.
What type of ski do you ride?

I'm heading out tomorrow morning to either bushy park or cypress gardens and ride up to the tail race canal. Supposed to be in the 50s. Got the winter wetsuit, gloves, and beanie.
