TPS problem?

Can anyone tell me what happens when a TPS goes bad or is it different things?

My started hesitating/running rough round corners, it was still ok at middle to high revs though. Now the problem has got worse and it is running on and wont acclerate very well at all.

Sensors all look good on computer. No other probs on diagnostic. Have changed boost control valve - no difference. Comp is good.

The TPS looks like it is working ok on the computer.

Thanks

Re: TPS problem?

Check for water in your intake. Pain to take off but if water is in there it will keep messing with the sensors.

Re: TPS problem?

Thanks for the help, there is a little water/oil in the intake splitter box, i'll clean it out, change the sensors and see what happens.

Re: TPS problem?

just incase you didn't already know the tps has to be reset every time a new one goes in. by the way to do a quick check to see if its your tps go to the track and watch your red numbers while slowly pulling the throttle cable. watch for weird jumps in the numbers

Re: TPS problem?

My prob got worse and the ski would not accelerate at all well. After alot of hours problem solving, i noticed the small hose between the BAP sensor and the inlet manifold bridge had ripped and had evidently deteriorated explaining why the problem got worse over a few days. Problem solved - thanks for your help guys.
