| Need Info on the Weber Motor... Hello Eveyone. I recently found this forum and it appears that there is a lot of knowledge about the weber 750 four stroke motor on here. I own a Redline Revolt sand car that comes with a weber motor. The horsepower is rated at 72 from the factory. The motor appears to be configured like the hydrospace motors/ The intake is on the oil filter side of the motor with the exhaust out the back. There is a stator. They are the normally aspirated fuel injected model. There is a walbro ECU that controls everything. The color of the ecu is black. I have added a set of custom headers and installed K&N filters directly on the throttle boddies to improve the breathing of the motor. From what I read on this site there is potential for a lot more horsepower. I am very interested in any information that I can use to make more horsepower. ie. different ecu, head work, cams etc. Redline is reportedly coming out with a turbo setup for the motor, but nothing yet. It looks like the PWC crowd has the horsepower problem dialed in. I would like to see about 110 HP for this car. Any help please.......
Thanks,
Scott in Oregon |

| Re: Need Info on the Weber Motor... you know if you really want a killer engine for your revolt, weber now makes a 850 with the oil cooler right on the side of the engine rather then underneath like on our boats, it comes with 120 horses na, I really wish that hs and weber did not split, really like the weber engines
It think that the designers at hs and weber thought that the oil cooler down at the bottom of the hull would be further cooled by water in the hull

| Re: Need Info on the Weber Motor... your na motor and the na motor of the original hs are two different motors, not so much on the outside but on the inside way different, the original hs motor was a 100 horse na, then they switched things around to have a turbo charged 110
the motor you got was designed for the revolt, we use alot of the same stuff but alot is different inside
you must also remember once you start making more power with the revolt you have to beef up
alot of parts, your driveline, your suspension, I love the revolt, they rip it up at dumont and glamis but the more power the more you will find your weak links

| Re: Need Info on the Weber Motor... Why dont you get a whole new 110 motor? There was an engine special via the hydro dealers recently. I rekon you would get one shipped over for around £2500 (whatever that is converted). The engines come complete (block/ecu/turbo/sensors/oil tank and even oil!!). You can build from there. Hydro do the yellow 140 ecu for a cheap £1700 (?!?), but it is just plug and play, no tuning required. That is a real easy extra 30bhp, just a shame about the price tag. |

| Re: Need Info on the Weber Motor... rekon you would recently have got a new motor inc shipping to US and taxes for £2500, the motor was under 2K. The offer might have finished now though.
My point was really when you want more power, you might be better starting with a better base, eg the 110 motor or the 850cc Momarski mentions. |
