Intercooler / Plenum cleaning.

I have some requests for the correct procedures to clean the plenum, etc.
If you guys could help come up wait a good procedure for cleaning that would be excellent..

Scenario #1 The ski is running fine, but has "milky residue" in the intercooler / inlet tube.
What is the best way to clean, and what other parts would you clean also?

Scenario #2 You are on the staring line and you accidently submerge the ski, with the engine running.. This contanimates the entire sump system, map sensors, intercooler, etc.. You have the LCQ in one hour... What is the best / quickest procedure to get it flushed, cleaned & ready to race?

I usually answer all these questions, but I think that you guys can come up with the best system that will help others and give me a procedure I can forward when needed.

Thanks,
Randy

Re: Intercooler / Plenum cleaning.

you unhook the out hose from the oil tank and you hook up a extention hose to a large 5 or ten gallon bucket, you go down to the local auto parts store or wal mart and buy three 5 quart cheap oil bottles, you got to run a water hose at the same time and run the engine at idle while you pour oil in the top of the tank, the oil will run through the engine and pour into the bucket until it is clean oil, when its clean, drain that oil hook everything back up and put in your mobil 1 synthetic, this whole operation takes ten minutes if you got the cheap oil allready, ready to race again

Nobody has time?

Nobody has a little time to donate towards this?
I figured that a few of racers could help with this, and save a fellow racer some trouble?

Re: Intercooler / Plenum cleaning.

no one cleans them randy. just injest water into turbo and it will clean itself. NO NO. JK. i remove the innercooler and plug one hole and pour in straight gas. shake it up and pour gas on ant piles. do this until it comes out clear, not milky. Randy you figure anything out on my wiring situation. thanks.
