Hydrospace Mark Queen Master Builder

We wanted to share some pictures going on at Mark Queen's shop in Lake Havasu.....he has taken the Hydrospace HSR S4 to a new level. In the pictures he is building a ski for Brandon McMillan in the Open Ski Class. If you need to take your S4 to a new level....Mark is the man....Lee

So is that Oster Blender what makes it an open class ski? I think we just saw the secret sauce for those hydrospaces.

Hi, can you tell me what pistons & rods are you using? I'm having lots of issues with these at moments running the 160 kit and need a solution before I go nuts. thanks in advance.

Mark Queen Is building HSR S4 Open skis for a living....I wanted to show that he is the man to get it done....I'm sure that if you sent him a PM here (queen80) he will give you a quote on building one for you.....also having pistons and rods are only 2 of 30 things that needs to be upgrade or changed if this project is going to be done right....Dad

I see a lot of fancy tools! I know that you don't need them to build Seee-Dooos, It's nice to see Mark is investing $$ in good equipment... Quality is priceless!

Re: Hydrospace Mark Queen Master Builder

Had 140 kit on for 3 yrs on original piston, no problems at all, run 62-63mph every weekend with 98 ron fuel,
fitted 160 ecu with injectors and run 98 ron fuel, lasted 1 hr......broke piston landing?
new pistons fitted, lasted 1 hr..........rings worn out (Burredup)
new pistons fitted, lasted 1.5 hrs..........piston broke side of pin?
then had cylinder re-coated and new pistons...........coating came off, pistons u/s
the story goes on........
ski is really quick but not for long
A/F ratio at 10:1

Hmmmmm?

Re: Hydrospace Mark Queen Master Builder

One of the problems that these motors have are the stock piston rings. After time they will cause some damage and start to come apart. We have some special piston made that have very good rings that will not come apart. Are you really running that good at 10:1??? You possibly could be running too rich and washing the rings out, and losing your oil lube, therefore damaging your bore by running it dry. Just a thought.
