Bilge Pump?

Has anyone managed to fit a bilge pump in an S4? I was thinking about putting a auto pump in.

I was wondering if i could get it in behind the fuel tank, but i have never seen in there. Failing that, by the air filter.

Re: Bilge Pump?

I thought about putting one in but theres no freakin room in this thing. I dont think it would be very useful by the turbo, its not that low in the hull.?

Re: Bilge Pump?

I have one mounted in front of the bulkhead, when you remove the bulkhead to reinforce the hull just cut out a bit of the foam and install.

Re: Bilge Pump?

You can place one in rear of your fuel tank to the left front of your motor....another project when you are taking your motor out....No problems with water in the hull....we don't have/need a pump anymore....Dad

Thanks for that, i thought you might get it in there. As you say, the motors seem to come out often enough, so thats a job for next time!

.....in front of the air intake and no I don't think it is possible to install without the motor out...but we did not try to install it with the motor in.....we first installed it in 2005 after the World Finals because we thought we needed it....but later we removed it because it was never on and just in the way with the water discharge line.....we have installed duck bills on both sides of the hull in the rear and we don't have a water problem with any of the HSR hulls that we have owned at this point...Dad

thinking about this you should be able to remove the air intake and install it without removing the motor from the ski....
