HEAT BARRIER for KAWASAKI STX 12F, 15F, 250X

HEAT BARRIER for KAWASAKI STX 12F, 15F, 250X

This barrier will help keep the heat of the engine from transferring to the intake plenum.
This will effectively help keep the air cooler, (keep it from heating up as much) while passing through the plenum before entering the combustion chambers.
Cooler intake air will always make a four stroke engine run better.

Touch the engine and it's HOT as can be...

Install the Rogue Racing Heat Barrier...
... and the intake plenum in now just warm to the touch.
The difference is around 20deg. from the engine and the intake.
We have tested for the temp. differance and we've tested for the HP differance on the dyno and found two horse power gained from this barrier.

I was talking with some of the 'OL timers at the local speed shop a while back.
They are in to the land toys but in the end, HorsePower is HorsePower when it comes right down to it.
I explained a few of the parts that I had made for our type of watercraft engines and they said it is all a good thing.
The heat barrier gasket has been around for many of years. I installed them on 84, 85, 86 Mustangs back in the day. With a space of 1.5 to 2 inches thick material. It worked. If I didn't have the experience of it working on the stangs I would have never come up with it for the engines we have now.
The way the guys at the speed shop put it to me was like Henry "Smokey" Yunick's (famous engine builder) figured out, " every 10deg. increase in air temp = 1 horse power loss "
The more you can maintain cooler air while it's on the way through the engine the better the engine will perform.
Heat on the intake side of the engine hampers performance.

INTAKE:
The Rogue Racing intake set up will provide a quicker response to the pull of the throttle.
Better reaction times. More snap in the take off and better response in turns where the throttle is constantly adjusted to maintain momentum around the turn.
This set up will help gain on quicker throttle response.

INTAKE SPACER:
The Rogue Racing intake Heat-Barrier will help keep the air intake plenum from rising up with the engine temperature. By installing this spacer and keeping the plenum temp down that gives the engine a better chance at getting cooler air to the cylinders.
Hot air is expanded and has less oxygen in it.
Cold air is condensed and has more oxygen in it.

This intake spacer will help reduce the heat transfer from the engine to the intake manifold therefore not heating up, (pre-heating) the air that is going into the combustion chamber of the cylinder head.
This product has been tested and proven to drop the intake temp by 20deg.
adding 2 Horse Power Cool air makes more power.
Will benefit stock or modified engines.

NOTE: For those of you out there with ported intake runners, you may need to match-port the barrier to your custom porting.
I'm sure some will have questions so please call and ask away.
Heat Barrier ships with install hardware.
