Standup :D

Well, some of you may remember me. My Dad bought a 2002 Seadoo Gtx 4tec about a year or two ago for my family. It was fun for the first year, but it did get boring eventually. I continually bugged him about getting a standup from day one, but he said no.

I turn 16 today, and I talked to my dad and he said that I could get a cheap ski if I pay for everything. That shouldnt be hard considering I am getting a job over the summer. I am probably just going to get a 500$ or so 550sx. It should be fun to modify and all that fun stuff. I am pretty excited about it.

I will see you all on Lanier this summer, and I wont be on my Sea Poo :P

Re: Standup :D

good deal. if you can get the cash spring for superjet. in the long run my 550 has cost more than a superjet and i have alot less of a ski.

Re: Standup :D

Try and find a square nose superjet, they are the most reliable and easiest to ride cheap jetski. However, being a Kawi man, you can't match the feeling of riding a 550. They are much more challenging and easier to throw around and do tricks with.

For cheap skis, check out www.craigslist.org and find your city. I just bought a 1990 550sx for $150 on craigslist, complete ski with stainless prop and aftermarket intake grate. All it needed was a battery. What I am saying is on craigslist, most good deals are people just trying to get rid of jetskis they thought they would be riding but never do.

Their loss and your gain. Stand ups are the only way to go for true jet-skiers.

i dont agree with that at all. if you want to do tricks get a sj. if you want a small and lighter ski get a fx1. 550s are the past. they are fun but low power flimsy hood ect. just get a sj. i regret my 550 big time.
