Stand-up fun...Kinna funny

While at Victory Lake (Gene's Polaris Country) this morning, I was negotiating for a ski, when a couple with stand-ups, back in the ramp.

I've seen these things since the early 80's, (and only tried to ride once) but I thought I'd watch for a while. This couple are good at this.

Anyway, this guy dives in, comes out straight up, hammerheads, and nose dives in the water. WAY COOL to watch. Problem was,..when the ski dove in, it stopped. He shakes it off, comes back to the dock with a nose full of mud. A foot of mud from the nose back, OUCH.

He's OK, but I wish I had the digital at that moment, Victory Lake is only 2-3ft deep.

Subs are easy...you too can look cool to random people. Buy one bro. That guy was lucky he didnt crap out his fiberglass

I have a story similar to this.

We're at the Lake Smith ride and I'm cruising and the water was down apprently. I've never ridden there so im still learning. I do a little hopa nd prepare to go under but for some reason i backed out...moment later i go in to do a bulldog. I slide the ski 180 and roll upside with ski. I push myself down further to get way from ski....about this time the ski pins me tot he ground...

I remember thinking.....damn did I go these deep? Then i stood up on my feet.

lol

Gene's sells Sea-Doo and Yamaha now. You can get an SJ there.

Was the guy with the mud on his ski a red head on a blue SJ? It could have been All Stock. He's on this board.

I was thinking about riding at Gene's next Saturday.

definately sounds like All Stock. If they were in a green Tacoma we have a winner!

Reminds me of the time I was showing off in the bay for a chick, it was only about three feet deep so I was going to do a shallow fountain and spray them as they went by on there sea-poo. Well I got on the hood and started going when Aaron goes dude...dude..dude look out, and CRACK right up underneath my Yamaha I rode. Thing pinned me to my ski but I got away with a sore back, bruised knee and a nice chunk of fiberglass missing out of the air scoop...raplaced with duct tape.
