Re: New to waveblaster, need help!!!

-climb straight up the back using the hand holds and put your chest on the seat with your knees on the rear pads, insert key, start and go

OR

- put right leg over left side rail, hit start, go full throttle and it will pull you out

AND

-practice your communication skills, that post was awful

Re: New to waveblaster, need help!!!

ok, i dont even use the stupid little handles. what i do is prop myself up by laying my right forearm across the tray and push myself up with my left. i then use both of my arms to prop my right knee into the tray and then finally my left foot.
I know... it sound as confusing as your post but read it carefully. it is much easier than using the handles. I acttually took the handles off of mine because they now serve no purpose.

Re: New to waveblaster, need help!!!

Yes its a pain in the A, two words....balance and patience.
1st. you are behind the ski, put your palms on the back corners, fingers on the sides.
2nd. Slowly do a press, pushup, whatever you want to call it with equal pressure on both hands until your arms are straight
The ski will wobble and sink down in the back, dont worry just wait until it stabilizes and you are still balanced.
Only then, pull your knees up under you onto the tray, SLOWLY AND EQUALLY. Dont try to rush one knee than the other.
Once your knees are on the tray (betweew you hands) you can scootch you hands forward along the rail as far as the seat will allow you, (this moves you center of gravity awy from the back of the ski and makes it a LITTLE more stable) than slowly come off of one knee and place your foot down, than the other. At this point you will have to do a lot of balancing with the force of you hands on the rails to keep you stable.
IF you are successfull, you will look like you humping the seat.
You can bring your hands to the seat and ease yoursel onto the seat.
Once seated it is much more stable. I also suggest putting the lanyard clip in your mouth so you are not fumbling for it and get knocked over by waves.
I have tought many people to board this way, only the largest 230lb plus couldnt do it. Im 5'10" 200lb and I manage to board in the surf.
Patience is all I can say . I see people try scrambling up before it tips, but the blaster always wins that war.
To recap,
press up on your palms,
balance,
knees up slowlly,
balance,
Slide hands forward along the rails,
balance,
one knee up, foot down
than the other,
than ease up onto the seat.

Once you get the feel for the balance of the ski, youwill pop up on it every time.
Good luck!

Re: New to waveblaster, need help!!!

I recently purchased one and went through the same thing. I thought to myself, "how the %&*! to people get on these things" people on the shore were laughing, boats stopping, asking if I needed help. Mind you, I am 6'2" 245lbs. The back would sink into the water and then it was just a matter of time before it tipped. I finally found a trick that helps the larger people get on. While in the water, put the key in the starter, then start the blaster up. Let the motor idle and slide to the back. Grab the hand holds and pull yourself up. Once you get to a position that you can reach the throttle, grab it and go. Much easier for me that way. I don't have to fiddle around with getting the key in, waiting for it to start, waves or anything else. I still hate watching my 150lb friend just hop on the back and stand there. The damn thing balances fine for him.
