Juniors Needed For Australian Titles

3rd-5th April 2009 Queensland Australia.

I would like to invite any 13 -15yr old junior racers to come down under for the Australian Titles to be held in Queensland, Australia.

We will have 2 JNR classes available -

13-15 Lites Ski
13-15 LTD Ski (Elite JNR) *must have 12mths experience for this class*

We will have riders from Japan, New Zealand and USA in attendance in these classes !

My assistance will be available to make your trip a fun holiday with friendly racing amongst a great bunch of Aussies.

Hate to rain on your parade guys....we actually got a special act of parliament passed for the JNR class back here in Qld in 2007 to allow Brandon McMillan(USA) and Luke Day (Australia) to have approval to race in Queensland at 12 yo.....it was a one off never to be repeated.

Luke raced for the first time in Oz and Brandon didnt make it due to his Dads work load at the time.

Up till then and now the approvals are and only will be for 13-15 yo in Queensland Australia.

Having said that the real JNR numbers at present in USA are in the 13-15 yo class.

I have over the years tried to get these guys out here however school and money is always the issue...as we deal with when we go over there.

For the record...our team will pay all expenses for one USA JNR including Ski rental if you have the return fare to Brisbane.

My first Nationals Was This Year And It Was Amazing
Any One Needs Any Where Too Stay or Skis Too Ride Any One Here Would Be More Than Happy Too Help

Hope Too See More Juniors On Our Start Line This Year

So are you saying that if SA or any other state had a 12 yr old rider that races JNR class that they cant race at the QLD NATIONALS THIS SEASON????

process looks fairly similar to how we got the exemption in W.A.....couple of subtleties......S.A's would under a section 26 approved event exemption only.......in theory fairly straight forward...argument and safety management process is robust
happy to help, but final exemption request letter needs to come from JSBAA

To keep this thread going...I along with the other Australian JNR families extend the invite for all International JNRS to race Oz Titles next April 2009.

We have a small number of Skis available for free ( first in gets them).

We can arrange free boarding,food and all transport within Australia.

All you need is your airfare from LA to Brisbane Australia return.

I wish I could be there to race with Luke and Mitch. I am working hard on sponsors for next year. But just dont know.
