Tubbed. What does that feel like? Have you ridden it with tubs?

Masher500 - Matt Hagest - has a blaster with tubbies he has been racing in spec class out west. I am interested in seeing how it runs.

Re: Pete Jacobs Waveblaster 1 build

Personally I don't know if it will be the set up for racing but for freeriding / freecarving / surfriding I think it should be an improvement. I hope it will want to turn a real short radius as well as keep the pump deeper like it did to the X2 and SJ.

I know it isn't an X2 but it was a cheap purchase and I kind want one for taking the old lady for a ride.

I'd be really interested in how you figure placement of the tubbies.

Re: Pete Jacobs Waveblaster 1 build

they should follow the botom of the hull or slightly higher and the apex should run along the point that is just above plane when cruising

Re: Pete Jacobs Waveblaster 1 build

I just lined up the apex of the sponson to the apex of the side of the hull and glued it down. There isn't a lot of room to play with for this big sponson so it kinda lined it self up.
