Nj trailer registraion

Hey guys I have a wave runner trailer in great condition but no title. I'm looking to register it as home made. Anybody do this? If so where do I get a certified weight slip and how did you go about get notarized letters and vins and all that crap they want for just a dumb trailer.

I could use some help if anyone has done this.

Go onto the NJ DMV website they give exact directions on how to register it as a homemade trailer.

Every one of my trailers except one is a "home built".

Never once was I questioned, except if I paid taxes on the parts I used to build the trailer/s with.

As for weight, just use the axle capacity and that will be ok. They won't ask for any paper work. Just make sure and keep it under 3k lbs, so you won't need trailer brakes. (not sure if it is 3k or 3.5k for brakes?)
