Florida for Thanksgiving Holiday

Just letting everyone know, just in case anyone wants to come, we are planning on going to Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday. Tom will have some time off. We will be gone on Thanksgiving day then the friday after, Sat, Sun, Monday and maybe Tuesday to drive the ski home (Nov. 27th-Dec 2nd I believe) I will have to make sure with Tom that I got the dates right. But I just wanted to post this early, to let you all think about it. It is just less than 2 months away. And NO, we are not thinking about winterizing any time soon. We will just ride in warmer places LOL

We might put the ski in South Carolina and ride the ski the rest of the way to Florida and stay at a hotel near the ocean. (I am scared of alligators and Sharks!) I hope that Echo Jim sees this post. He lives in Florida and is not afraid.

Sorry, I wish you could come. I know a lot of people will be spending time with their families for the holiday.

We will be getting one of those waterproof cameras. I hope that we get it in time for our trip to Florida. It has video on it too.

Have a good day EL BARBAYHO,

Paula and Tom

Re: Florida for Thanksgiving Holiday

We REALLY need to buy some of those goggles for jetskis too. Sunglasses don't work, because they get water spots on them and then you can't see. And when you don't wear glasses the salt water sprays hard in your eyes and stings.

And we probably need to buy dry suits. We only have the short wet suits.

This sport can get expensive, but it is worth it.

And, EL BARBAHO, do you sell those face things, that keep your face warm? I think we would need to get 3 of those, if we can buy them from you?

And we have to buy a water-proof GPS.

Well we have plenty of time to get ready for this trip.

I am sorry Aaron,

Thank you for ALL the info. That is a great help to us.

I will try to see if anyone else wants to order some masks. They sure would keep your face warm, I think.

What are you going to name your "new" ski, Aaron?

Re: Florida for Thanksgiving Holiday

Sounds fun... Would love to ride down there. But since holiday weekend its tuff. Don't know how long you've been riding but bein prepared is a must out in the ocean. Suggestions.

1) Full charged cell phone in waterproof container (coverage probably isn't great down there so also a waterproof handheld radio)
2) A full wetsuit
3) liquids and dry food
4) tow line.
5) Float plan left with someone. Call when leaving and when arrived
6) swim fins attached to self ( If you fall off and currents are bad)

I like to be overprepared when out on the water. Call me paronoid

Thank you Fins attached to Tom lol hahahaha He is the one who falls off the ski. I won't fall off the SHO, because I am REALLY afraid of sharks and alligators.
