Atlantic City Riding?

I will be in Atlantic City the week before 4th of July and was wondering if it is worth bringing the jetski down? We would be riding double on one 3 seater so we don't want to travel too far from civilization in case of a breakdown, etc. Is there a good spot to launch? How much riding and other jetski activity is there in the bay and is there a nearby outlet to go out and jump some waves in the ocean? Thanks.

Re: Atlantic City Riding?

Lotsa places to explore in AC. Just mapquest it. The intercoastal waterway runs right through AC. You also have the Absecon Inlet to the north for ocean access. You should be able to launch at Frank Farley State Marina in AC. They have a website. I spend a lot of time in Brigantine [the next town up] and there are always couches and stand ups in the inlet. Having 4X4 access and launching right off of Brig Beach is really cool. Just make sure you have a secure area to park your rig at night. As far as casinos go, i recommend the Tropicana. Even if you dont gamble its a really cool place to hang out.

Re: Atlantic City Riding?

Not bad. Since you are in Absecon ask for directions to Faunce Landing Rd. There is a public ramp at the end of the road ($10 daily fee maybe a weekly one). AC/Brigantine is a 10 minute run from there right to the inlet. Lots of intercoastal to run around on. Several waterfont eateries to go to as well.

Re: Atlantic City Riding?

BTW Farley Marina does not have a ramp. Two closet ramps are Faunce Landing in Absecon and in AC by Bader Field across from Kerbeck Chevrolet. Third option is Brigantine ramp at the north end.

Re: Atlantic City Riding?

Somebody told me they put in at Farley. I stand corrected.

Re: Atlantic City Riding?

My buddy/neighbor had his boat there. He used the ramp at Faunce Landing. There used to be a ramp across the way by the Flying Cloud but it was closed off when they built the docks.
