2009 Operation Helping Hero's PWC Freedom Ride

2009 Operation Helping Hero's Freedom Ride

Operation Helping Hero's Freedom Ride was held on Saturday July 18th beginning at Leesylvania State Park in VA. More info on supporting this worthy cause can be found on our website at www.easternpariverrunners.org

The Capital Area PWC Club and other AWA clubs are greatly appreciated for a great ride to Washington D.C. to support our servicemen and women.

Donations can made thru our website.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors, especially Perry Performance Group and Sgt Grit for all their generous donations that helped make our ride a success.

We would also like to thank the following:

Colonel Daniel J. Choike and John DeBerry for their support of our ride.

Robert Lang for taking care of all our transportation and personal needs while at Quantico.

Dean Atwood for his hospitality while at Quantico Marina.

Mrs. Almaz Dawson for her gracious hospitality and accomondations at The Crossroads Inn.

Maureen Healey, Elana Stein and Lindsey Mize for all the public relations support.

Ed and Stephanie Karpinski for the wonderful handmade banner that was used on this year's Freedom Ride.

John Brown for providing us with an outstanding chase boat.

Jay Lightfoot, Barry Silverman and all of the Capital Area PWC group for coming out and making this year's Freedom Ride a tremendous success.

Thomas Thompson and Len Graff for their great navigational skills.

To all our Freedom Riders: Len Graff, Nicole Graff, Thomas Thompson, Val Thompson, George Conyers and Stephanie Domurat for a great three day journey.

Kathy Sturla, Patricia Perry and all The Family & Friends For Freedom Fund for providing great assistance to those service men and women in need.

Sgt Michael Blair for coming out and giving me a great experience on the back of my jetski!

We would like to thank all those who participated in any way and look forward to next year's Operation Helping Hero's Freedom Ride.

Raffle tickets are still on sale until August 14th, please be sure to tell your family and friends about this great cause and how they can donate!

The Family and Friends For Freedom Fund
Our mission is to raise funds for injured Marines and their families. Our severely wounded continue to fight battles here at home with their struggle to adjust to their injuries. Family & Friends For Freedom Fund, Inc., was founded exclusively to provide financial aid to injured military and their families. In 2007, we assisted 44 Marines, 4 Navy Corpsman, 8 Army Specialists and 1 National Guard.
