This is my fiancee's deer. she hit this last year (Thanksgiving in 08) in her s-10 blazer at 60 mph.

He's a 10 pt, weighed 235 and was in full rut, he was chasing a doe when she hit him. she came to a complete stop.

Re: Deer/Hog/Wildlife Pictures

Here are 2 hogs we caught,

the spotted one was huge, lil under 300 lbs, we caught her right outside a swamp coming from some sogum fields you probably cant see it in the picture (you have to look close) the pic where she is in a trailer between her back legs is a baby, i snatched it up while we were tryin to tie her up, i put the baby in my pocket until we got her tied up then put them in the trailer together.

The black hog wasnt but about 125 and the catch dog did a good job at holding but a few of our bay dogs like to catch and one grabbed her by the throat and punctured it and well i aint no vet and we couldnt save her.

but all hogs we catch are taken home and are fed and watered good till eatin time

just thought i'd share

Re: Deer/Hog/Wildlife Pictures

I always had these boars with big nasty tusk on our property, at night they looked like volkswagons with all there piglets behind them and they were very angry all the time, I would have to let go with a clip to get them not to come at me, they only tasted good a certain time of year

Re: Deer/Hog/Wildlife Pictures

haha thx...

yeh you gotta watch out for them tusks, i got hit one time in the ankle, but luckily i had forgot my tennis shoes that day so i had to wear my boots, and he didnt mess me up..

and if your askin why do i wear tennis shoes...

try runnin thru a swamp with boots on...slows you down, and when you got a mad hog near you, you do not want to be slowed down if they break off the dogs...

and if yall havent tried to catch hogs, you should, its a huge adrenaline rush wehn your face to face to something that could really f you up. just dont get scared, thats how you get hurt. just jump on em, flip em and tie em up

Re: Deer/Hog/Wildlife Pictures

the boar I speak of were domesticated that went wild, when they go wild in humboldt they grow hair and tusk and just get enormous but only a certain time a year do they taste good, the rest of the time they are rototillers and can really f up your pot garden, I have had wars with groups of these things and when you are shooting mac's you have to drop them after two clips because they get so hot, all those movies where they show guys changing clips are full of s h i t , those guns would melt there hands, you got to have a mini 14 on your back with a banana to keep the war up, those wild pigs come in waves

my brother in law does this crazy hunting up there where he takes on a big one with a knife, hes a thrill seeker, he use to be a big hunter but because of guns he cannot hear no more or loud sounds really hurt him, he cannot ever go to any concerts or clubs when he down here in vegas, kinda limits his fun

Re: Deer/Hog/Wildlife Pictures

that sucks about your brother, but yeah instead of stabbing them we just keep em alive. makes more fun and we can train more dogs that way

motoman, why you say f that?

you havent even tried it yet...i tell you waht, when deer season is over get with me and we'll take you hunting, it'll change your mind.

and when i said jump on em, dont really mean that literally, that could get you hospitalized most likely lol, i mean more of a get on em, grab their legs, flip them over and tie them. sounds easy you say? lol try tieing your dog up, then imagine your dog with tusks, jerking around, trying to hit you with them, all the while your watching your back to make sure more dogs dont come back to help him lol.

thats why i carry my pistol, and my knife with me. it can get rough sometimes.

especially when your near///in a swamp and you got gators like we got around. thats what'll scare you.
