Jet Ski law complaince 'pleasing'

Jet ski law compliance 'pleasing'

Tuesday, 10 January 2006. 12:17 (AWST) Authorities say there has been good compliance with tough new laws on the use of jet skis in Queensland.
From January 1 people using a personal watercraft need a specific licence.
Geoff Krause, from the Boating and Fisheries Patrol, says on the Gold Coast a few people have been issued with a $375 fine for not having a licence.
"We've had a good compliance rate with the PWC licence that's around the 90 per cent mark, which is very pleasing," he said.
"But we've had a few instances of people not understanding the 60-metre distance from other people in the water and moored boats and boat ramps and stuff, and there's been a few on the spot fines dished out for that."

Re: Jet Ski law complaince 'pleasing'

Now what could possibly be the best job in the world? Getting to ride around on the newest ski, with a hot looking chick cop at your side.
That's the way they pair water police up here.
Some of these gals ,i almost want to be handcuffed and roughed up a little.LOL
60 meters?Basically they could be handing out tickets all day if they want. That's 360 ft plus.
Gotta love it, handing out 375 dollar tickets to justify your most excellent job.But aussi dollars thats like 300 us?
