More winter riding & snow shoveling

My buddy Mike and me went for a little New Year's ride today. The weather was nice initially, sun shine & 40 degrees. It turned dark and gray later, though. That's why some of the later pictures look like ***. (Wrong mode, 1600 ISO, etc).
Water was about 35-40, hard to say exactly.

First pic is my buddy Mike. He broke his eye socket last weekend trying stabs.

Mike backed his rig and four-place trailer down the ramp knowing fully well that he might have some trouble pulling it back out. :clown:
Time to shovel that ramp.

Had to get that snow out from the tires, though.
Break out the torch!

My three guys - Ben, Sam, Josh.

And finally, we did ride! Here's some pics.

Before anyone else says it: Gawd, my "rolls" suck ***.

also that almost freezing air and water temps help the eye heal quicker.

Pics of my carnage.

Happened while I was riding today. All of a sudden I didn't go anywhere.
I thought I had stripped the splines.
When I unbolted the pump, it just about smashed my face in. At that point I realized something was off.

Great thread! Getting me motivated to get out in the garage and fix my own ski.

Re: More winter riding & snow shoveling

Thanks for the comments guys....Looks like matt is going to be riding my "stock" skis for a while!! ha ha I got three running so it is all good.

The torch/snow shovels is essential to us riding. As we got 3-4 inches of snow and 1/4 - 1/8 inch of freezing rain. The ramp was a skating rink. I literally slid into the water. Thought i was going to have to leave the suv there overnight. With some shoveling and torching she pulled out the 4 skis no problem.

Good times, Heading back out today!!

Re: More winter riding & snow shoveling

I thought about riding on New Year's but I sat on my azz hungover all day, maybe next year...

If you come across an extra driveshaft I'll be needing one too!!
