Homemade footholds

just glassed these in last night.i made a copy of my buddys footholds with aluminum foil, then sprayed them with spray foam.waited a couple of days then removed the foil and shaped them.next came the part of glassing them.then i removed the foam with a flap disc grinder. i next removed the turf and cut the holes.when removing the turf i noticed a crack in the floor, that is why the mat is on the floor.then i used small stainless screws to hold the epoxy applied footholds to the deck.tonight i will flap wheel the excess resin and apply the finishing glass work .

Re: Homemade footholds

I meant to ask you... When you cut out for the footholds, was the foam wet behind them? I would probably be done reinforcing by now if my foam wasn't wet!

But looking good!

Re: Homemade footholds

good job stealing some else hard work. normally people don't brag about being a thief.

why not try and make your own footholds from scratch?

Re: Homemade footholds

i used the patterns i took from my buddys set and made a set from SCRATCH.

DONT HATE! . I LIKED THE DESIGN AND MADE THEM A LITTLE BIGGER!

i wear a size 14 and his were just a little small.
i did all this myself and there are no pattents on the originals,so pound sand.
it's fookers like you that claim to be top dogs but you never leave the porch.
i'll be looking at ya upside down waving a peace sign @ daytona.
i cant wait for jan 13th!
