Go to your "User CP" on the blue bar above
Click "Edit Options"
In the second block, select "Do Not Subscribe" for your default subscription mode
In the third block, change the Number of Posts to Show Per Page to display 20, 30, or 40, whatever you want
In the third block, change the Default Thread Age Cut Off to Show All Threads
In the bottom block, set what kind of post editor you want, either plain, better, or best (What You See Is What You Get)
