| Re: Nervous about snipped rev limiter... The electronic part of it is all figured out, the adjustable part is not so much. I need to hurry up and at least put my engine all back together so I can start it and get all those little details like rev limiter voltage engagement and adjustment to rpm change and what-not to take the next step forward. Trust me, when we know something solid, everyone will.

Great fun on a 55+degree day when I should be out on the bike

| Re: Nervous about snipped rev limiter... How often have you been on the rev limiter when it was hooked up? I don't ride like that so it's not a problem for me
Over rev for a split second is not an issue, sustaining it pinned for a long period is what you don't want to do. It will be just fine leave it off.

| Re: Nervous about snipped rev limiter... bkoche: you have an RE5 too lol haven't fired mine yet this year. I'm still waiting for a gasket kit, and a top end kit, and my head to come back from the machine shop. So far I've painted my block silver and have the hull in primer. So next weekish the engine will be running, I hope.
