| Dupli-Color paint products Hi I was wondering if anyone has used any of the Dupli-Color paint products on their ski's, in particular, the Paint Shop Finish System. I always see their products on pretty much every automitive show on SPEED Channel. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/paintshop.html |

| Re: Dupli-Color paint products It says it is a lacquer system in the description, they are not as chemical resistant as many other paint products out there... if you want cheap and fair quality, use Omni - it is a PPG product that is fairly simple to use and is pretty decently priced. Dupont Chroma-Premier is my favorite - easy to use, easy to mix colors with good OEM color matches (not really an issue here) but it is VERY good stuff for holding up to the heavy UV exposure skis go through, and it doesn't melt when you spill gas on it.

| Re: Dupli-Color paint products WWW.HOKPAINT.COM - they have everything you need to paint a ski with some bad *** paint - House of Kolors... that is where a truly crazy paint job starts. These guys have better prices INCLUDING shipping than my local jobber has in house.

| Re: Dupli-Color paint products I painted my X2 with Duplicolor, be prepared to do a lot of sanding and buffing after you paint if you want it nice and shiny. |

| Re: Dupli-Color paint products Is it not shiny because it is a lacquer based system or because you used rattle cans. I want to use the ready to spray colors that you put into a good spray gun.

| Re: Dupli-Color paint products I did use the ready to spray Duplicolor white, it is still lacquer and it still requires color sanding and buffing to get it nice and shiny, BTW I have forgotten more about painting skis than most here will ever know. |

| Re: Dupli-Color paint products I just finished my WB with Duplicolor. Black then metal flake and several coats of clear. Sprayed with HVLP. Turn the air down or it will dry too quickly. At least my first coat did. Then again I am no pro.
But like WFO said. Prepare to put in some color sanding and buffing time.
