Bilge not working

My bilge pump on my 97 Monte isn't working. I took it out and bench tested it and it works and when I press the bilge button the relay clicks but no power to the pump. Could it be a bad relay or is there something else I am missing.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Bilge not working

Check the circut breaker on the top of the electical box. The wires will fall off it when they get old. You can replace the circut breaker with a 4 amp fuse.

Re: Bilge not working

Check the 3.5amp inline fuse under the fuse box, make sure its not blown. If it replace, if its not disconnect the connection to the bilge pump (should be a brown and black wire) test for power when hitting the bilge pump button. If you get power, the bilge pump has gone bad and will need to be replaced.

Re: Bilge not working

I'm having the problem of the bilge working manually by pushing the button, but won't work automatic when motor is running, Blow a hole in the hose and flooded the engine compartment. Anybody got any ideas. Thanks Lynn

Re: Bilge not working

i think everyone has a issue with there bilge today lol....my problem....99 TS770R bilge just clicks when i hit the button, checked voltage coming into the connector for the bilge and getting 12.35 when i hit the button, so i took bilge out and hooked right to battery and it ran perfect....connected the conntector back together and nothing....so i decided to cut connector and test wires still getting 12.35 UNTIL i connect the brown and black wires to the bilge then it goes to 0...i can hook one wire up and still get 12.35 volts but as soon as i attach the 2nd wire it goes right to 0 with just a click.......no idea about electrical issues, any help would be great
