99 900 TSL middle piston frozen

Can I just replace the one piston ,and jug or does all 3 need to be replaced and bored
I have a chance to buy a 99 900 TSL for $500 with trailer.
Owner says oil caused piston freeze ,motor turns freely now that piston is removed.
no sighns of other engine damage ,he has new piston.

If the bore size is the same on all three, and the other cylinders and rings are in good shape it may work. But those are alot of ifs. In the end it is your call and your wallet,
It would be nice to get a compression check on those other cylinders just to see .

How does that sleeve Look There is no way to get a compression test,I have to look as if ,I need a whole top end, I guess.? He email me back and said the new piston was .25 over If it was a 770 ,I would have already bought It !But I don't know much about tripples,

Honestly, as long as the other two cylinders have good compression and no bad bearings anywhere it will run for a while without any issues. I have done the same thing before. If it isn't broke, don't fix it (sometimes).

He dropped price to $400 w/ Galve trailer,But I'm going to pass,on purchase.I have my 98 770 TSL ,I still have to do top end on l.Anyone wants a 99 TSL 900 For $400 PM Me I will give you his number Marlboro ,MA
