98 770 Pistons

Im about to buy 2 new pistons from SBT, there 1.0mm over only...Does this mean I have to get the cyclinders honed 1.0mm over...How about the head? Im new to this engine honeing just trying to get a better understanding..Should I also wait to receive my pistons till I head to machine shop..

Re: 98 770 Pistons

Yes, You will need to bring the pistons and the cylinder to a machine shop and they will bore/hone the cylinders out to the correct size per the instuctions with the pistons. Not all pistons are the same size so they need to match up the piston and the cylinder as they do the work.
