WRX Actuator into 06 F12X...

Well it was suprisingly simple to do, and picked the turbo up for free, obviously including the wastegate actuator, and realised it was the same poundage (8psi) actuator, mine was overboosting like crazy, being aware of how the turbo's work, i went straight to the most obvious/easiest solutioned problem, removing the necessary parts to find my way to the half corroded/rusted wastegate actuator (see attached pics).

Anyway, heres the pics, glad i have a metal fabrication/shed construction business with all the right tools...vice grips WERE used though...

Notice the stainless rod in perfect condition I cut the nipple from it and welded it onto the bent rod of the WRX actuator rod. The Jetski was not looked after at all by its previous owner, although the engine looked great, the rust colour around the engine bay is rust defendant spray. Ive had to do some fibreglassing aswell on the hull, only minor but like my toys looking clean and tidy.

Re: WRX Actuator into 06 F12X...

I bought the ski and first ride i took it to a huge fresh water dam, an hours drive... FI light came on straight away, waste of time, so i was frustrated to hell and back, and very anxious to get this thing working again. so had to drive home. One sunday i guess i got fed up, went to the workshop, opened everything up, saw the WRX turbo, looked up its activation psi and searched it on here, found they WERE the same, and went ahead, next day put it on the water, wahlah! then put a K&N pod filter on it and a boost controller... I wasnt going to spend $2500 or wait for something to come from USA, Im in Australia....

broke it's better to have two suppliers than one. I think you could make money on 'em.
