i can troubleshoot my probs with my 02 and 04 skis..but i thought someone said on later years you cant use the jumper and get code blinks...have to use the special meter or tool...

can someone clarify for me pls?

Dave,
They all can be jumpered to get codes.

02-03 (3 plug ECU) used a 2 wire jumper others required different colored wires to jumper for a reading (2 plug ECU)

thanks much Shawn. My 02 is the first ecu that burns more fuel at idle and mid. Was considering buying a used ecu for a newer F12X but didn't want to step into a year that would not interchange or that I could not troubleshoot. Needing Buds for the seadoo sucks and didn't want to accidently fall into that with the honda. I really LIKE to troubleshoot myself.
