Re: r12x exhaust

go to the other end: put a mac air filter on the turbo intake and you'll hear a nice roar under hard acceleration

Re: r12x exhaust

There have been some people to make some custom exhaust for the R-12x I know. From what I see it mostly just makes more noise. The R-12x exhaust outlet is pretty much above the waterline all the time so even when you crank the ski up it is annoying. It is not like you are running Chevy V-8 with a nice sound. It is a little closer to the sounds of a low pitched weed eater. Haha Anyways you can make a custom exhaust but from what I hear about all you gain is noise with little to no power gains. One of Macs buddies we rode with one time had a custom carbon fiber exhaust that was definitely noticeable but not extremely loud. I would just recommend removing the water box and exhaust and straight piping the system but make sure the water still dumps into the exhaust or you will melt some stuff. Good luck and let us know if you make something cool we all need to make.
