R-12x Solas Impeller install questions

I'm trying to figure out what the little blocker in the middle of the stock impeller is and how do I get it out if I need to transfer it to the solas impeller? What is it for? Do I install the impeller and then fill from the cone with gear oil?

Freaking stealership last year rebuilt my pump and guess what... my stock impeller was way loose. I thought I'd have to crank on it to get it to bust free, but nope... one little turn and it started to back right off. Geez. Glad I decided to swap impellers.

One last note, how many drops of red loctite do I put on the threads for the impeller?

First pic is the solas, you can see my finger nail in the back.

There is a small rubber disk that needs to be transferred from the socket of your old impeller to your new one. I use 5-6 drops of red loctite on my impeller and torque it to 105 FtLbs.
I don't use oil in my bearing housing, only grease [at 500+ hours].
